Exactly one year after work commenced on a £20 million emergency department for a district general hospital in Hertfordshire, Action Handling were engaged to offer their expertise on a range of smaller projects within the development.
Having already completed a number of successful projects with the hospital, Action Handling was the first port of call on the subject of safe and secure storage. One of the main issues requiring attention was the storage of gas bottles/cylinders in the sub-levels of the building. The current operation had the gas bottles kept in randomly designated areas of the storeroom, leaving them difficult to locate and stock-check, not to mention leaving them totally open to theft. In addition to this, numerous areas of the storeroom were becoming cluttered with general waste, when the space could easily be transformed into a storage area for high value goods.
Our Sales Director, Stephen Phillips, visited the site to assess the dimensions of the storeroom and all potential areas to be used for storage. A solution was proposed to implement a set of bespoke mesh security cages, which would barricade storage areas from any unauthorised personnel.
Each bespoke mesh security cage was supplied separately for assembly on site. Our installation team arrived immediately after the goods were delivered to carry out all work. The security barriers required no assembly and were secured in place by simply drilling straight into the wall. Installation took less than an hour and our client now has peace of mind that their gas bottles and cylinders are stored safely.
