Where’s a supervisor when you need one?

supervisor station

One of our regular customers recently conducted a survey poll of their own staff and found out that their workforce reported a difficulty in contacting the company’s supervisors throughout their national depots. It was felt that supervisors were not visible enough and often seemed to have no designated point of contact.

Plan ahead to avoid going without

The impact of materials shortages plus spiralling steel and timber prices are considerable on all industries at the moment. We would kindly ask our customers to plan well in advance with the purchasing of equipment that they might require for the build up to the Black Friday/Christmas period or for bad winter weather protection. Lead times are extended on many products but please speak to our sales team as forward deliveries can always be scheduled, or if necessary, good alternatives could be sought when planned well ahead.

Imperial or metric?

pint of beer

Pounds v kilos, metres v feet or pints v litres? We don't really mind at Action Handling, we can work in both. That must really show the age spread of our staff here! The UK left the EU nearly a year ago and as part of the government's review of EU laws, the imperial system of measuring and weighing has been reinstated. We are now finding that some businesses prefer to use imperial, some metric and others a mix of both. We think that both units have their merits. Who honestly goes into a pub and asks for a litre of beer? We all know that it's really hot when the temperature reaches 85 degrees fahrenheit or 30 degrees celsius! So, rest assured that you can speak to our staff using any preferred system and still receive the best help and advice.

Haverhill Rovers golf day

sponsorship

A very successful and enjoyable day was had at Haverhill Golf Club which saw 23 teams entered into a Stapleford Competition won by Team CHOAT (lets hope it wasn't CHEAT!) with a very credible 140pts. Congratulations to the winners and all who took part.

We were very happy to be one of the sponsors of the event as part of our commitment to Haverhill Rovers FC.
