Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
In addition to LOLER 98 and also since 05/12/2008 PUWER regulations
require that equipment provided for use at work is:
• Suitable for intended use.
• Safe for use, serviced and maintained in a safe condition and in certain
circumstances inspected to ensure this remains the case and a record kept.
• Used only by people who have received adequate info,
instruction and training.
• People involved in using the equipment should also have suitable safety
measures in place ie: protective clothing, markings and warning signs.
