Access Equipment Safety

Ladders and access equipment, such as mobile safety steps, step ladders, access towers, podiums and work platforms are useful in every business. Our ladders, steps and access equipment come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and materials, so there is something suitable for every setting and budget. Safety is of paramount importance, so ensuring that you have the correct equipment for workers to use is essential.

Whether your requirements are for compact steps, folding steps or adjustable safety steps for smaller spaces and heights, or for roof ladders, shelf ladders, extension ladders or telescopic ladders with a greater reach, we have many options for you to choose from.

We also supply many different styles and designs of mobile steps, for settings and environments where easy movement of the access equipment is vital between uses. Our mobile safety steps include grab rails and are robust enough to deal with the rigours of daily use in a busy working environment.

In addition to our huge range of ladders and steps, we also supply mobile access towers and podiums, made of lightweight, but very strong, fibreglass, for working at height. Our platform systems, ladders and access equipment are suitable for multiple applications in any number of settings; from warehouses and factories to retail stores and offices, offering great value and with no compromise on quality.

If you’re unsure about which ladder or access system is right for your needs, don’t hesitate to contact us for assistance on 01279 724989 or via the website. If you require a solution not offered by ‘off-the- shelf’ ladders, steps or access apparatus, we can work with you to design and build bespoke equipment, which will fulfil your needs exactly. We offer site visits, so that we can fully assess your requirements and create a tailored solution to give you the safe access that you need.

Custom Access Equipment

Please call us at 01279 724989 or send us an email if you need help deciding which ladder or access system is best for your requirements. If the "off-the-shelf" ladders, steps, or access devices don't exactly meet your demands, we may collaborate with you to design and construct custom equipment.

We provide site inspections so that we may thoroughly evaluate your needs and design a customised solution to grant you the required safe access.

British Safety Standards

The greatest steps, ladders, and platforms are made to exacting specifications and put through rigorous testing. This guarantees that they constantly deliver the required levels of performance. The British Standards Institute (BSI) safety standards are identified by name or in the product information across much of our range.

You may probably come across BS EN131 safety requirements and BS 2037 Class 1 standards, among others. These suggest that using the product at work is a great idea. Ladders with a Class 1 classification are designed for heavy-duty tasks and are intended for frequent usage in areas where storage and transportation are required.

Medium duty ladders that are used in good condition less frequently and may also be carried and stored on a regular basis are classified as EN131. Be careful to follow guidelines to make sure the equipment you receive is suitable for the tasks at hand.

Types of Access Equipment

Our extensive selection of access equipment guarantees that you are always working at the proper height for the task at hand.

This contains a variety of Access Towers, which are excellent for assisting with the better utilisation of operator space when reaching awkward or higher access tasks in warehouses, factories or offices. With operator heights up to 11m often towers need to be fitted with additional safety measures like outriggers and securing ties.

Work platforms also provide a better standing work surface than a stepladder for low level work. A variety of models can be supplied for one- or two-person usage.

Order pickers and personnel platform lifts are very popular for tasks involving regular maintenance and installation tasks. With models that are either manual or electrically propelled, almost any work tasks can be catered for.
