How Action Handling Equipment Manage Delivery and Returns

Delivery cost

Most of our wonderful products are carriage paid on orders over £100.00, a few may have a slightly higher order value so please check the delivery details tab on the product's page to make sure, this will inform you of the carriage charge that will be added if your order falls under the required amount.
As not all of our items can come in pretty cardboard boxes … some come in strange shapes and sizes and can weigh - well a tonne, so these are what we call ‘Ex-Works’. These products are not carriage paid, but fear not, that’s where we come in, we will advise you of the extra cost for carriage. But if you would like to collect the item from us instead - no problem, we will ensure that everything is ready for you.

Delivery times

As we offer such a wide, varied array of goods, the way in which they are delivered is also wide and varied. Most of our products will be delivered on a standard 3-5 day service, but as many of our products are manufactured to order right here in the UK, they may take a little longer to get to you. We’ve provided you with as much delivery information as we can with each product, just select the delivery details tab next to the description tab. If you have an order you need yesterday…then give us a call, we don’t have a time machine but we do have a dedicated team that will do what they can to help and if possible organise an overnight service at some of the best rates around.

Frequently Asked Questions about deliveries

“Right I’ve placed my order… How long will it be until it arrives?”
We have over 12,000 products and will usually deliver within 3-5 or 7-10 working days depending on the product and relevant stock levels. Made-to-order products will carry an additional lead time quoted in advance. If you are in a rush, let us know and we will do our best to speed things up.

“Can you tell me what time my goods will arrive?”
The short answer is no. The majority of  our products are delivered using a national carrier service meaning a timed delivery schedule is out of the question. All standard deliveries will be made between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (except bank holidays).

“Can you deliver my order tomorrow?”
Provided the goods are in stock and your order is placed early enough we can arrange an overnight service at an extra charge, just call our office to obtain a quote.

“Can Action Handling deliver to a location different to the invoicing address?”
Yes we can deliver to any UK mainland address but will request a landline number or an e-mail address to confirm and update delivery details.


If you are unhappy with your product and wish to return it, please call us first!  There are a few steps to take before we can accept the goods back.

• Faulty goods
Notify us immediately, we may ask for photographic evidence of fault.
Once agreed by us will replace the item ASAP.

• If goods are damaged
Please notify us in writing within three days of receipt. Please note that in order to claim you must sign for the goods as DAMAGED, simply signing unchecked will not suffice. If these guidelines are met and it is determined that goods were damaged in transit we will endeavour to replace your item ASAP.

• If you have ordered incorrectly

There will be charges involved, so we will need you to advise us in writing. Then we will confirm the restocking and carriage costs that will be incurred. We will await written confirmation from you before collecting.
