Pallet Trucks

The most common places to find pallet trucks are on manufacturing floors and in warehouses. There are different styles and types of pallet trucks for moving different pallets around from point to point. They are also often used in the backs of delivery vehicles for positioning pallets for ease of loading/unloading. Fork Stackers

Stackers are a common and useful tool to be used around warehouses and factory settings. They can move, lift and stack pallets up to a height of 5m with a weight capacity ranging from 100kg up to 5000kg. We have a great range that provides manual hydraulic lift, electric lift and also models that are propelled electrically as well. The range also includes models that can ‘straddle’ pallets, hygienic work setting models and types that can be fitted with a large range of fork attachment tools for specialist lifting tasks.

Conveyors

There is a wide and a great variety of types of conveyors that are available from Action Handling. The simplest form is gravity roller conveyor that can be supplied with steel or plastic rollers. Complete systems can be designed to move goods around your premises for assembly, order picking or vehicle loading. Belt conveyors with electric drive motors can propel products and equipment along sections of the workplace and move up gradients to achieve different work levels for your operatives. Ball transfer sections, gates, end stops, and guarding can all be supplied. Sections can be manufactured to be used with a huge variety of size and weight capacity options.

Drum & Cylinder Handling and Storage

The transportation and storage of drums & cylinders can be particularly difficult by nature of their respective physical sizes and the possible hazardous contents they carry. We supply both manual and electric means of carrying out this movement and lifting of drums & cylinders. Safe and secure storage of the items is also of great importance, so we are able to provide the best types of rack, pallet or cupboards to house these items when they are either full or empty.

Pallets

Pallets made in steel, wood, and recycled materials are available in a variety of sizes. Steel Pallets are good for raw material, finished components and storage. Wooden Pallets reduce occupational health and safety risks to the workforce by enabling them to rack and carry heavy loads, whereas plastic pallets manufactured from entirely recycled materials - polypropylene/HDPE are suitable where environmental concerns are required. They are designed specifically for storage, transport and export of products. Whether it's plastic, metal, or presswood, our selection of pallets will enable you to do the necessary tasks effectively, safely and of course economically.

Steel Pallets

Metal formed pallets can come in several types. We have flat reversible steel pallets that are an option against standard timber ones. They can be supplied in sheet steel or stainless steel for clean environments. We also supply steel cage pallets that can come as a four-sided box pallet, detachable sided pallet, post pallet or a half drop side pallet. They can have sides filled in with mesh or sheet steel. As standard we supply a multitude of sizes and capacities ranging from 500kg to 1000kg. Pallets can be stacked up to 4 high dependant on size and weights and are fitted on pallet feet for easy lifting by forklifts, stackers and pallet trucks.

Plastic Pallets

Plastic pallets come as a flat pallet alternative to timber or steel and also as a four-sided box pallet, sometimes with drop sides for easy loading and folding lid tops for security. There are again many styles, sizes and capacities available. Plastic material is recyclable and easily washable in order to keep clean for hygiene areas.

Pallet Collars

Pallet collars turn your flat pallet into a box pallet which means that goods can be stacked up inside without fear of them falling off the pallet. The collars are available in plastic or timber and there are many sizes to choose from.

Fork Truck Attachments

With the help of fork truck accessories, you may use your stacker, crane or forklift truck for more flexible operations. Forklift trucks are typically used to raise and move pallets, but if you fit your truck with a detachable device, you may safely lift a lot more products and materials without having to palletise them or use other more expensive methods of lifting.

The forks of a truck themselves can be fitted with extensions to provide better load lengths. Or, commonly, tipping skips and roll forward skips can be mounted directly onto the forklift, which offers a great way of moving waste product or loose bulk loads. This can include clearance of rubbish and debris, waste products or even snow. Detachable brushes can also be deployed to help make light work of clearing warehouse floors yards and car parks. We also offer magnetic sweeper attachments, which means the clearing of a floor or outside area of nails, screws and swarf can be done quickly and effectively.

Access to high and awkward areas can easily be solved by using a detachable access platform that can be picked up by the forklift. This can mean that maintenance and servicing tasks can be carried out easily and safely without the need for other specialist lifting equipment.

Jibs and hooks can be mounted so that materials can be lifted safely from above; this is often particularly useful when lifting machine parts. Drum, cylinders and bottles can also be lifted using attachments, meaning that the workload of the operator is reduced and therefore production is increased.

Self Tipping Skips

Tipping skips and roll forward skips are frequently attached straight onto forklifts, providing an excellent method of transporting waste materials or loose bulk loads. Simply pick up and transport the load to the point of unload and then you can use the attachment to deposit the load wherever you want to.

Forklift Truck Extensions
