Historically, motorcycles have been delivered in disposable wooden crates or on wooden pallets. Although it is a standard process throughout the industry, it is time consuming and generally unsafe. Also, the cost of disposing the packaging must be borne by the customer and it generally prohibits more than one unit being transported per pallet.

Whilst quoting on equipment for a separate project, a mention in passing of this process led to a lengthy discussion between the UK Chief Buyer of a global motorcycle manufacturer and one of our sales representatives on-site. The decision to finally implement a better method was made, provided it adhered to the admittedly large capacity requirements (1000Kg). Before the week was out, our Sales Director was back on-site to propose the solution.

Our bespoke heavy duty motorbike pallet provides a safe way to transport and store motorcycles and scooters appropriately. Up to three motorcycles (of varying sizes) can be transported at a time, with each fully secured in place by clamps which adjust horizontally to fit.

The entire unit is manoeuvrable by forklift, using the four way entry base. It can be shipped as a secure item, with protective sheeting also supplied when required. 

The initial trial unit was designed, approved, manufactured and supplied within four working weeks. 

Multiple units are now in-use globally.
