The storage of gas cylinder bottles is an issue regardless of location. They are used on building sites, business premises, garage forecourts, farms and industrial processing plants. It is therefore imperative to ensure all cylinders are stored safely and securely, to meet strict H&S regulations.

When a Hertfordshire NHS Hospital needed a new storage cage for its numerous gas cylinder bottles they contacted Action Handling Equipment Ltd to provide a solution.

The main objective was to keep all the gas cylinder bottles in a secure and well ventilated storage unit. Preferably in the open air and away from occupied buildings, boundaries and sources of ignition and heat. 

A bespoke, fully welded, storage cage was supplied and delivered within 15 days, complying with all relevant H&S regulations. The cage had a hot-dip galvanised finish, which will maintain protection from corrosion for many years. 

Our cages come fully assembled or in knock-down form, with all relevant hazard warning labels applied.
