Action Handling Equipment Ltd was engaged by a leading construction group to design and manufacture a bespoke materials/goods cage for use on-site at Kings Cross Railway Station, London.

Upon visiting the site we consulted with management personnel to assess the problem. It was identified that workmen were experiencing difficulty when transporting goods between different levels of the building.

To ensure safety and security, a solution was soon proposed whereby Action Handling would design a bespoke steel cage to hold goods/materials. Workmen onsite at Kings Cross would then use the cage to lift materials up and down an unused elevator shaft by an overhead hoist system.

Following completion of the project, the customer now continues usage of the cage during site-work on other projects.

• All our steel cages are designed and manufactured to the customers unique specification.
• They also come complete with a load-test certificate to comply with Health & Safety regulations.
• Our cages can be lifted by overhead cranes, hoists and fork lift trucks.
