Action Handling is very proud to have been able to assist with the massive improvement in efficiency and safety on-site for one of their most valued customers.
Our client, the leading global manufacturer of specialist pumps, had received a number of requests from site managers for updated equipment. The issues being raised related to the bulk materials and goods which were being transported during the factories numerous processes. In order to keep up with the production line, engineers had to transport a vast amount of heavy goods using small and unsuitable platform trucks or trailers. Sometimes this would require two or three trips across the site.
Having consulted with the Facilities Director, Site Manager and also the team of engineers ‘on-the-ground’, Action Handling was able to put forth a solution. Our design team calculated the required capacity, usage, robustness and ergonomics required and then submitted the blueprints for a bespoke heavy duty trailer. Our client took this away for review and a written acceptance of the design was submitted within 24 hours.
Subsequent to the site visit, product design process, acceptance and fabrication, our bespoke HD trailer was on-site ready for use within 4 weeks of the initial phone call.
Our heavy duty trailer has a massive capacity allowance of 30 tonnes and has been used continuously since its introduction on-site in 2011. After two years, our trailer has not required any servicing and is still on its original set of wheels which are (understandably) the first thing to suffer with this type of equipment.
