When a world-wide stainless steel valve manufacturer needed a bespoke checking work station for their quality control checks, they called upon Action Handling to design and manufacture a robust unit matching the existing bolt shelving at their Preston, Lancashire, UK site. 

The valves produced on site at the Lancashire facility are used within the pharmaceutical industry and are of the highest quality which are mechanically polished and internally electro polished to meet U.S. and international standards. Once produced they are stored onto industrial shelving and prior to being exported out to North America and Europe they are carefully checked and QA tagged.

The brief to Action Handling was to produce a checking work station desk, to exact sizes, to fit in between existing shelving on site, match the colour and most importantly, to be of industrial standard and capable of holding up to 100Kg UDL.

The site manager said upon taking delivery of the work station … “We did look at standard work desks on the internet but none of them were to the right size. It’s great that we have found a supplier that can make a bespoke work desk and of an industrial standard that will last. We need another bespoke work table for our production line so I shall be back to place a new order for that as well next week”.
