A local manufacturer of automotive lighting components approached us after discovering that the pallet lifter they intended to purchase had been discontinued by their original supplier.

The client needed a replacement type of lifting device to use in their moulding shop, it had to safely lift and transport tooling from storage racks to the point of manufacture. Their current machine had 600mm long forks and electric lift operation, but the movement of the lifter was manually controlled, making it inefficient and physically demanding for their operators to use.

We were able to present an upgrade with a fully electric stacker, providing both the powered lifting and powered travel required, whilst bespoke manufactured to the exact compact dimensions needed to enable safe working within the designated workspace.

The customer had already looked at multiple standard options, but after arranging a site visit with our sales representative, we were able to fully understand the application and the challenges their team faced with this task. This is what Action Handling are all about. We don't just believe in supplying equipment that's 'close enough', we take the time to understand each application so that we can provide equipment that fits the job perfectly, helping customers work more safely, efficiently and productively.

Following the site survey, we recommended a fully electric stacker that we fitted with shortened forks and support legs, both 600mm long. It provided 750kgs lifting capacity up to a lift height of 2000mm with a fitted built-in 230V battery charger.

This created a compact, fully electric stacker capable of operating comfortably within the restricted space of the mould shop, while providing the customer with the increased efficiency they were looking for.

Even with the bespoke modifications, we completed the project and delivered the finished machine within three weeks. By upgrading from manual movement to powered travel, operators now move heavy tooling more easily, reducing physical effort while improving productivity and workplace safety.

Most importantly, the customer received exactly what they needed, not an off-the-shelf machine, but a bespoke solution designed around their exact operation.

Our commitment doesn't end when the equipment is delivered. We provide a complete after sales service that includes:

We're proud to build long-term relationships with our customers, supporting them long after the initial purchase and helping to keep their operations running safely and efficiently.

So don't suffer with problematic handling tasks, look towards bespoke as a solution.
