Cantilever racking is an extremely versatile system of storage equipment, designed to store items of varied sizes for ease of access. When you use a cantilevered racking system, items can be stored on pallets, loose or wrapped and also can be irregular in shape. Our bespoke steel construction service has experience creating these systems to suit specific client needs, as was the case when a global leader in Orthopaedic Implants contacted us.

Following the launch of some revolutionary new products, the company engaged Action Handling to consult and supply specific equipment to their UK headquarters. Action Handling’s Sales Director, Steve Phillips, was invited on-site to assess the client’s exact requirements and discuss the best strategy to achieve their objectives.

The key elements of this project were to supply:

1) A safe and secure means of storing valuable goods in the warehouse

2) A heavy-duty system for storing and retrieving long, heavy titanium bars.

Action Handling put forward a cost-effective proposal for a bespoke Mesh Security Cage and a Cantilever Racking system which incorporated storage for various length of titanium bars, as well as timber shelves to protect the stored product from damage. Once the order was confirmed, we were able to supply, deliver and install within a two week time-scale, resulting in a satisfied client.
