Miley Cyrus has got nothing on us!

What's the worst present you've ever received?

We asked around the office if anyone has any bad present stories:

Easy was one received from my Nan… it was a pink care bears nightie – clearly my sister had her worst present ever from the same Nan as she received Incredible hulk PJ’S#mixup

My other half asked me one year if I would like a Burberry answer was yes expecting a gorgeous mac..on Christmas morning I opened what can only be described as a Del Boy sheepskin jacket three sizes too big and looked as though it had been bought straight out of Del's suitcase.

Worst gift I received was from my nan..I opened a very badly wrapped gift to find about 20 small perfume testers which are given away for FREE!! some of which had been used.

Stuck Santa

Worst received from an ex was a Filofax and a pen (something about I always forgot our dates!).

The last thing you need after a holiday shutdown is burst pipes!

As far back as 2010 it was reported in The Guardian that Insurance firm RSA famously warned that Britain’s economic output could be hit by up to £14.5bn over a three week period if the then freezing conditions continued.

The cost of bad weather could be estimated at £690m per day. Since 2010 we have witnessed the advent of a variety of disruptive conditions from snow, ice, flooding to storms and as yet employers still do not seem to adequately prepare for the inevitable.

How to deal with the advent of frozen or bust pipes. Obviously the best protection is prevention!

Read here about preparing for bad weather.
