Integrated packing stations made to order

upgrading premises

When awkward becomes easy, you know that you are using the best equipment for the job! This was part of the remit from one of our favourite customers up in the Midlands. They have a very efficient logistics operation handling tens of thousands of packages, parcels and products a week. They also handle very awkward shaped products that don't fit into the standard picking containers due to their shape, size and weight, so here arose a problem that needed a solution.

Avoid tragedy by checking for faulty outdoor electrical equipment used in public places

The HSE says venues should arrange for a competent person to carry out electrical installation work, only using lights and heaters specifically designed for outdoor use, and regularly checking equipment for damage or water ingress. The fixed installation and electrical appliances should be maintained in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

Tips to stay cool during a heatwave

If you find yourself holidaying in a heatwave, follow these tips:
1. Drink water regularly to stay hydrated. Avoid hot drinks and alcohol as these actually dehydrate the body.
2. Take cool showers. Splash water on your face and body to help reduce your body temperature.
3. Wear loose, light coloured clothing to reflect the sun and allow air to circulate. Linen and cotton are cooler than other fabrics.
4. Keep in the shade or wear a hat to shelter and protect your face.
5. Don’t do excessive activities which increase your body temperature.
6. If you feel unwell, find a cool place to rest and drink lots of water.
7. Should you experience chest pains, are confused, are breathless or feel dizzy and it doesn’t improve after resting and re-hydrating, seek medical assistance immediately.
